Why a flower should reach the soul before the eye

A beautiful flower can catch the eye. A meaningful composition does something quieter: it makes a person feel understood before they know why.

When a client asks for flowers, the real request is often hidden between the words. They may be welcoming someone home, honouring a memory, saying thank you or trying to soften a difficult day.

Listening carefully changes every later decision: the scale, the scent, the movement, the vessel and even the amount of empty space around an arrangement.

A room is experienced long before a person studies its details. Fragrance introduces the mood. Texture changes the way light settles. A gentle silhouette allows the eye to move without being overwhelmed.

Luxury is not a competition for attention. It is the confidence to know exactly which details matter and which should remain quiet.

The work does not end when the arrangement is delivered. It continues in the way the flowers accompany a conversation, a photograph, an evening or a private moment.

That is why no two personal commissions should feel mechanically alike. Every life holds different memories, and every flower can be asked to carry them differently.

For me, floral design begins with one question: what should this person feel? Everything beautiful follows from there.
